eMONITOR: Chronic DIsease - Ambient Assisted Living and vital teleMONITORing for ehealth
The eMONITOR addresses research domains spanned into two major complementary healthcare application areas or axes on Dependence and health prevention for ageing people (Ambient Assisted Living) and also younger ones after hospitalisation or having certain cardiac pathologies (Vital telemonitoring). These application axis are the following, themselves pointing at needed technologies (research themes) for their implementation : o Application Axis 1: Ambient Assisted Living in the IoT Environment ▪ Research Theme 1: Activity Daily Life (ADL) monitoring: Activity Recognition, Indoor Location, Daily sound recognition ▪ Research Theme 2: Distress Situation Identification: Fall Detection, Abnormal Behavior Movements Recognition, Multimodal Distress Situation Identification ▪ Research Theme 3: Serious Gaming for prevention and rehabilitation o Application Axis 2: Vital telemonitoring for eHealth.
